Charter schools are free public schools open to any student who resides in the zone outlined by the charter.
They operate under the terms of a charter, or contract, established by an authorizer such as the State Charter Schools Commission. Charter schools are held accountable by the authorizing agency in the areas of high student academic achievement, sound financial management, and organizational stability.

Both RISE Grammar and RISE Prep have a variety of enrichment and sports programs. In addition, RISE has partnered with the Andrew Young YMCA to provide after-school care for our scholars. Families interested in after-school care, will need to enroll directly with the YMCA at their own expense. The YMCA will pick-up enrolled scholars at the end of the school day and provide after-school care at the YMCA located on Campbellton Road.
RISE has five buses, and each bus has its own route with convenient pick- up and drop-off locations. Families will be responsible for getting their scholar to and collecting their scholars from the pick-up and drop-off locations. Spaces are limited and the number of available seats on each bus will be determined upon calculation of our completed recommitment numbers for our currently enrolled scholars using the service. For families interested in riding the bus they must submit an application. Seats on the bus on the buses will be filled based on the order that the application is received. Charter schools are public schools and are funded through tax dollars similar to public schools within a school district. Each year, RISE will receive funding from the State of Georgia based on the number of students it serves as calculated by a funding formula outlined in state law. One important difference between traditional public schools and RISE is that RISE will not receive any funding through local tax dollars. Because RISE is a state charter school approved by the State Charter Schools Commission of Georgia it only receives state funding.

Yes. At the RISE Schools, we recognize that there is a strong, positive correlation between appropriate attire, good work habits, and good character. When dress and appearance are characterized by cleanliness, neatness, modesty, and safety, children generally have a more positive attitude toward themselves and those around them. The RISE Schools believe that the dress code and/or uniform policy support a more productive learning environment.
RISE embraces its role as safe and welcoming environment for students of all culture and ethnicities. RISE will actively identify and support students learning English.
If more students apply to attend RISE than there are available spaces, RISE will utilize a random lottery process to offer spaces for enrollment. Parents of each student who have received a winning lottery number will receive notice via email within 24 hours of the lottery completion.
